We are right on the Wessex Ridgeway long distance footpath which runs 136 miles from Marlborough in Wiltshire to Lyme Regis in Dorset, via the northern edge of Salisbury Plain and across Cranborne Chase. The footpath was opened in 1994.
Don't worry though if you're not quite up to that there are plenty of local walks from a 20 minute circular stroll along the old railway path to a full day's hike taking in beautiful scenery. Some of our favourites are listed on the website and there are printouts with a map and directions in the cottages.
