COVID-19

 

Please help protect yourselves, our staff and the local community by observing the following rules:

 

  • Defer your booking to a later date if you have symptoms of Covid-19 or have been told you must self-isolate.

  • Avoid public transport and travel to and from the accommodation in your own vehicle.

  • Do not arrive before 4 p.m. to allow time for cleaning and sanitisation.

  • Telephone or email us if you have any questions, if you need to speak to us in person you will be met outside of the property and asked to observe current social distancing guidelines.

  • Daily access to the hot tub area will be required to test chemical levels. Should emergency maintenance be necessary inside the property, you may be asked to vacate for a short period.

  • Observe current government guidelines on social distancing with other visitors and members of the local community.

  • Bring your own provisions where possible and avoid entering local shops.Instead, make use of local free delivery services which will be left outside the property at a pre-arranged time.

  • Wash your hands frequently and use the hand sanitiser provided when entering and leaving the property.

  • Put used crockery, cutlery and utensils through a full dishwasher cycle or if washed by hand thoroughly rinse with boiling or very hot water.

  • Do not invite visitors into the property other than those booked to stay.  Deliveries should be left outside the property.

  • On the day of departure, please vacate the property by 10 a.m. at the latest.  Open all windows and roof lights fully unless it is raining, in this case just open slightly.Seal any rubbish in the bags provided and transfer to bins in the recycling area before you leave.

  • Inform the owners by telephone or email if you begin to exhibit symptoms of Covid-19 during your stay.  In this event return to your primary residence immediately and self-isolate for 14 days.  You must have alternative arrangements in place to vacate by the checkout date should you be unable to drive i.e. another member of your party or a person who can travel to assist you.

 

Measures we have taken to ensure the safety of our guests and staff:

 

  • We have implemented a two stage cleaning and sanitisation programme in line with government guidance.

  • Cleaning and maintenance staff will be required to wear a disposable face mask, gloves and apron whenever inside the property.  Training on safe use and removal will be provided.

  • Staff will not be permitted to enter the property until 30 minutes after guests have vacated the property.

  • Staff must wash hands and use the hand sanitiser provided prior to entering and leaving the property.  Disposable paper towels will be provided and must be used for drying hands.

  • Any staff member exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19 must not report for work.

  • All soft furnishings, curtains and floor coverings will be thoroughly vacuum cleaned and treated with a light spray of sanitiser certified to EN 14476.  Periodic deep extraction cleaning will be carried out as deemed necessary.

  • All hard surfaces will be washed down and treated with a sanitiser certified to EN 14476.  This includes but is not limited to: Kitchen worktops, kitchen appliances (inside and out), furniture, sanitary ware, doors, door handles, light fittings and switches, walls, hard floors, skirting and architrave, garden furniture, ashtrays, BBQ equipment, key box and keys.  Audio-visual appliances and remote controls will be carefully cleaned and receive a light spray of sanitiser certified to EN 14476.

  • Bed linen and towels will be removed and placed in sealed laundry bags prior to cleaning the property.

  • Laundry to be stored in bags for a minimum of 3 days and washed at a minimum temperature of 60° centigrade prior to re-use.

  • Hot tubs will be drained down, washed and a sanitiser certified to EN 14476 applied prior to re-filling with fresh water on every changeover.  Daily checks will be carried out for correct PH and bromine levels and chemical additives adjusted as necessary.  Hot tubs are fitted with an inline continuous disinfection feeder in accordance with Health and Safety Guidelines (HSG282).  PH and bromine levels, addition of chemicals and water changes are to be recorded daily in the hot tub log book.  Note: The CDC has stated “There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs.  Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g. with chlorine and bromine) of pools and hot tubs should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.”
